Have you ever heard of the NXIVM cult? Someone brought this to our attention, and it’s highly instructive.

Our primary desire is to help create a data-based, rational and ethical world. It’s very simple: factual data exists all around us – it is there for us to gather, and we can do so by merely observing reality. The less factual data with which we sustain our opinions, the more likely we may become invested in them; the more invested we are, the more our disputes on differences of opinion are likely to escalate. Disagreement soon begets conflict, and conflict soon begets war.
If we acknowledge that there exists a consistent, testable reality outside of our personal opinion, we may find a place of common understanding and knowledge. We believe it should be possible for people of all faiths – Christians, Atheists, Jews, Hindus, and Muslims, etc. – to live and work together.
Humankind should be able to coexist on this planet in a harmonious fashion. Therefore, we believe the ultimate human morality cannot be based on mysticism. As long as human morality does not have a common denominator, we will probably continue to fight the same wars we have been fighting since the beginning of time.

So, what was the fate of this hyperianism-like cult? JAIL, of course.
Wikipedia says, “NXIVM (/ˈnɛksiəm/) is the name commonly used to describe the personality cult of imprisoned racketeer and sex offender Keith Raniere. NXIVM is also the trademarked name of the defunct corporation that Raniere founded, which provided seminars and videos in the field of human potential development. The United States seized ownership of NXIVM related entities and their intellectual property through asset forfeiture following Raniere’s conviction. … Following the New York Times exposé, the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York investigated the organization, and in 2018 brought criminal charges against Raniere, co-founder Nancy Salzman and her daughter Lauren, actress Allison Mack, Seagram heiress Clare Bronfman, and bookkeeper Kathy Russell. The U.S. Attorney’s Office argued in its Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act prosecution that NXIVM and its subsidiaries existed to promote, enhance and protect Raniere and members of the enterprise. The indictment alleges that Raniere and his co-defendants comprised an organized racketeering enterprise by recruiting others into NXIVM and DOS for financial and personal benefits and committed crimes ranging from sex trafficking to forced labor and visa and wire fraud. All defendants except for Raniere pled guilty.”
Now here comes a sentence we find particularly resonant: “Raniere chose to go to trial in 2019. Prosecutors revealed a decades-long pattern of grooming, sexual abuse of girls and women, physical and psychological punishments against dissenters, and the hacking and vexatious litigation against enemies.”
Sound familiar? Grooming of vulnerable women, psychological punishments against dissenters, and vexatious litigation against enemies.”
YUP, WE KNOW ALL ABOUT THAT!
If Rebhahn operated a physical cult rather than cyber cult, one can only imagine the horrors that would result.
Wikipedia says, “Raniere was convicted on the top charge of racketeering and racketeering conspiracy as well as several other charges. Judge Nicholas Garaufis sentenced Raniere to 120 years imprisonment. … Following Raniere’s conviction, he continues to direct a small set of loyal members from his prison cell, encouraging continued recruitment. At his direction, members of the group danced outside Raniere’s jail and staged protests against individual prosecutors. Based on statements of support, it was estimated that about 50 to 60 persons remain loyal to Raniere.”
We could literally think of around sixty Hyperian women and Woke men who will dance outside Rebhahn’s jail cell!!!
These cult leaders are always the same. They can get away with it for years, but eventually the law catches up with them. They always make too many enemies. When they start vexatiously litigating against their enemies, they come to the attention of the law, and that’s their worst mistake. When the law looks hard at them, it starts to see all the key trademarks of a cult, with all the abuses and dangers that implies. And then the cult leader goes to jail and that, mercifully, is pretty much the end of the cult, although those most groomed and brainwashed will go on believing in their “persecuted” God. Rebhahn will have a core of groomed and brainwashed cult followers for a long tme to come. These people are those most likely to commit suicide when Rebhahn is jailed.
Anyhoo, what madness will Fat Jan inflict on us tonight with her latest attempt to prove that slime mold is more intelligent than she is? She’s feeling a bit sorry for herself these days: “Been feeling down lately but I communicated what’s going on with me to people who have my best interest at heart… instead of bottling things up inside till it pops. and I feel much better. Anyhoo, Fat Jan, do you ever feel sorry for your victims when you’re “spicin’ up”, and “lawyering up” and making bogus, malicious, false complaints to the FBI? You feel great when you’re trying to fuck over others, don’t you? Perhaps you should reflect on that before whining on social media. Aren’t you sick of your self-pity party, and your desperation to rope everyone else into your self-indulgent moaning and groaning? Grow up!
