Is Morgue Official the Master or the Slave?

Masters seem to have all the power. Masters seem to set the agenda. But it’s actually much more complicated than that. For one thing, the masters don’t do the work, the slaves do, and so the masters are entirely dependent on the labor of others. Hegel made great play of this, and then it became essential to MARXISM, which was a kind of materialist Hegelianism, based on “dialectical materialism”.

 

Of course, the slaves were doing the labor demanded of them by the masters. The masters took all the decisions, had all the agency, and had all the force. But the master-slave dialectic was all about how the masters started to decline because they did no actual work, while the slaves became empowered by their work and were eventually far more capable than their masters. All they lacked was the confidence and dominance of the masters. In the French revolution, the People gained their confidence and dominance and overthrew the masters (and slaughtered them).

 

The modern world has seen a whole new variant of the master-slave dialectic. It’s where the masters don’t do what THEY want and don’t even know what they want – other than to be above the slaves and adored by the slaves.

 

In the past, the masters’ power lay in telling the slaves what to do; the masters were not what the slaves wanted them to be; the slaves hated the masters. Today, something amazing has happened. The masters’ power now resides in doing what the slaves want, and being what the slaves want them to be; and the slaves love their masters.

 

An inversion has taken place. Masters are no longer those who master slaves; they are now those that slaves want as their masters. And that’s not a master. It’s more like “No.1 Slave”. 

 

The master of old was a monster to the slaves. The new master is beloved by the slaves. How can that be?

 

There is only one type of master who would be pleased by this extraordinary development – where the master is defined by the slaves and could even be regarded as a slave of the slaves (!) – and that’s the … MALIGNANT NARCISSIST. Why? Because the malignant narcissist cares only about narcissistic supply, and his task is not to dominate and control people who hate him but to dominate and control people who love him.

 

How is this done? In the past, the masters fought and subjugated the slaves. The masters were far more violent and far less fearful than the slaves. They took huge risks that the slaves were unwilling to take. Today, the masters still take huge risks, but of a very different nature. The masters now are not physical. They are psychological. They manipulate people psychologically rather than overcome them through brute force and terrifying aggression.

 

What is the No.1 way to control people psychologically? It’s through LYING to them – telling them what they want to hear, what they want to believe, what seems to serve their agenda and make them feel good about themselves.

 

The old masters beat the slaves into submission. The modern masters manipulate them into submission – but only by giving the slaves what the slaves want. They don’t LEAD the slaves. They are led by the slaves.

 

The modern term for this is “audience capture”. We could perhaps refer to it as “slave capture”, and it’s how the slaves get the masters to do what the slaves want.

 

Note that the slaves DO NOT WANT TO BE FREE. They don’t want to be autonomous and have agency. What they want is a benevolent master who does and says things the slaves like. They are perfectly happy being slaves, just so long as it’s not an unpleasant slavery. 

 

Malignant Narcissists are perfect for this game. They have a False Self and live in a fantasy world, so lie to themselves ALL THE TIME. So, lying to others is simplicity itself. Moreover, the whole point of malignant narcissism is EXTERNAL REGULATION. Why? Because the real self is associated with internal regulation, but the real self is “dead” – it could not cope with reality.

 

A master of the old type was an internally regulated person – usually a psychopath – and had no interest in the thoughts and beliefs of slaves, and zero desire for their approval or recognition. 

 

Everything is different with a master of the new type. He is externally regulated, which means he actually NEEDS the approval and recognition of the slaves. That’s his whole game. He’s not there to rule over the slaves as their Devil (the old type of master) but as their God (the new type of master), i.e., he wants their worship, adoration, love, admiration, flattery, worship. He can’t rule over anyone by force. He is usually a pathetic weakling (just look at Morgue Official, a man who would lose in a fight with his own shadow). But he can rule over them by inducing them to love him. This is the No. 1 task of a malignant narcissist and it’s called “Love Bombing”.

 

By love bombing the slave, the master gains control over the slave in a “benevolent” way. The old masters hate bombed the slaves and physically overcame them and gained control over the slave in a malevolent way. They ruled through FEAR. The modern masters attempt to rule through LOVE. The old masters had zero interest in the recognition of the slaves. The new masters are defined by the recognition of the slaves. The masters’ relationship with the slaves has therefore been inverted.

 

And the only “masters” who can play this new game are the externally regulated malignant narcs, hence they are becoming the ubiquitous masters. Modern mastery is not about crude force and psychopathy or extremely dominant personalities. It’s not about Caesars, it’s about Christs. It’s about subtle psychological manipulation by compulsive liars who spend their whole lives lying, to themselves most of all.

 

Hegel’s master-slave dialectic is one of the greatest philosophical insights of all time and yet it is radically wrong – through being radically incomplete. 

 

If Hegel’s master-slave dialectic were right, we would now be living in a perfect communist state! How so? Because Marxism is Hegel’s dialectical idealism turned into dialectical materialism, and the inevitable outcome of the materialist dialectic is the perfect Marxist communist state. This outcome not only satisfies Marx, it also satisfies Hegel. Marxism provides the economic, materialist basis for the concluded master-slave dialectic, while Hegelianism provides its mental counterpart. What would the MINDS of people in a perfect communist state be like? They would be the minds AT THE END OF HISTORY, i.e., at the conclusion of the dialectical process. Those minds would no longer have to worry about material things and would be so aligned, so synchronized, so much in harmony, that humanity’s functionally collective mind would evolve into that of GOD! 

 

So, what the fuck went wrong? Hegel, funnily enough, failed to apply the dialectic to his master-slave dialectic! The IRONY. He only produced a thesis and didn’t realize there must also be an antithesis. Or, rather, he thought that “master” and “slave” were the dialectical opponents. He didn’t realize that “master” itself has a dialectic, and so does “slave”.

 

Hegel imagined the master-slave dialectic to be based on force, hate and violence. He envisaged a symbolic fight to the death. He didn’t realize that both masters and slaves could have a very different relationship, based on love rather than hate. He OUGHT to have realized it. All he had to do was look at the Jews. The Jews under Emperor Hadrian hated their Roman masters. So far so Hegelian. But the Jews under Yahweh LOVED their cosmic GOD (master) and would do anything for him. The Jews had no objection to being slaves! What they were concerned about was the identity of the master and their relationship with him. They had no problem with a master they loved. Their problem was with a master they hated.

 

So, Marxism was based on the Ownership class being so vile, so hated, that the proletariat would inevitably rise up against them and overthrow them, and then rapidly create a workers’ paradise – COMMUNISM, where no one exploited anyone else.

 

That’s what WOULD have happened if Hegel’s master-slave dialectic were correct. It isn’t. The Ownership class simply invented a new way of doing capitalism – an act of breathtaking genius that totally wrecked Marxism. What did they do? They switched from production capitalism for the tradition-directed and parent-directed to CONSUMER CAPITALISM for the OTHER-DIRECTED. 

 

As everyone knows, the definition of consumer capitalism is “the customer is king.” CAN YOU IMAGINE?!!!! People, under predatory capitalism, went from being the slaves of tyrannical production capitalists – where all that mattered was increasing profits by hammering down on costs, especially those of labor, and trying to achieve monopolies – to being KINGS under consumer capitalists. 

 

The production capitalists exploited the labor of the workers. The consumer capitalists exploited the psychology of the workers by PANDERING to them, not oppressing them. Absolute genius. 

 

Production capitalism was about Them and Us – the Ownership class versus the workers. Consumer Capitalism was about US – we’re all kings together, provided we have the money. And that’s why we live in a predatory capitalist world today.

 

Production capitalism was very harsh towards people and it was overthrown, exactly as Marx predicted … except it wasn’t overthrown by communism (production run by and for the workers rather than the Owners – the People become the Owners), but by a new mutant strain of predatory capitalism – consumer capitalism. 

 

Production capitalism made the workers feel BAD. Consumer capitalism makes them feel great. Instead of hating the Ownership Class for oppressing them, they love the Ownership Class for giving them what they desire! They themselves now dream of being Owners. The American Dream has been brought fully to life. Working class people no longer have a class consciousness. In fact, they want to escape their class and join the Ownership Class. They are CLASS TRAITORS, CLASS APOSTATES. And that’s why the world is the way it is today.

 

The workers did not, it turned out, want freedom. They actually wanted STUFF – materialist crap, all the junk under the sun, mindless entertainment, bread and circuses, and the SPECTACLE, the bigger the better. Communism didn’t give them that. Consumer capitalism did. 

 

The People don’t have any objection at all to slavery, provided it’s FUN. Provided they find it satisfying. 

 

Neither Hegel nor Marx grasped this. Predatory capitalists didn’t either. They just lucked out because some of them realized how profits could be maximized by giving people WHAT THEY WANTED rather than WHAT THEY NEEDED (as production capitalism did). 

 

And this is the key to this whole thing.

 

The Hegelian dialectic is based on a world of competing NEEDS. The master needs power, the slave, if he wishes to live, needs to do what the master wants. But that’s all gone now, except in the most primitive and brutal parts of the world, run by warlords and corrupt politicians and brutal factory owners, and so on. 

 

We now live in a world defined by WANTS not NEEDS, and that’s an entirely different world with an entirely different psychology, and it makes things profoundly difficult for today’s radical left, who still view predatory capitalism in essentially Marxist terms.

 

The left is now up against a much more subtle and sinister enemy, much harder to overcome. They are up against a very different dialectic from the one they imagine.

 

All of this equally effects Nietzsche’s brilliant analysis of slave morality (good versus evil) and master morality (good versus bad, the rare nobility as opposed to the common herd.) That master morality has GONE. There is no longer any elite class with elite tastes. The elite today have exactly the same tastes as the masses, and they simply buy better seats at the big, mass events and have finer wine and food, and wear designer gear, and so on. But otherwise they share exactly the same culture as the masses. They have been absorbed by the masses. The masses have won. “Elite culture” is more or less dead. Everything is about popularity, when in the past it was about exclusivity and refinement. A Medici noble of medieval Florence wouldn’t be seen dead at a mass culture event like the Super Bowl. But the American elite are all there. It could be said that we have returned to the “games” of ancient Rome, where the Roman elite and the Mob watched the same savage entertainment. The elite later wanted to escape from the masses and have events where the masses would never show up, where they would never be allowed in. In many ways, we’re now back to the old style of the emperor and the mob being at the same event, but with the emperor having the best seat and best treatment.

 

France’s Louis XIV, the Sun King, created a special gilded cage for the French nobility – his magnificent Palace of Versailles – and the Mob could get nowhere near them. The nobles lived in an exclusive world of extreme luxury and privilege. You could draw a straight line from the construction of Versailles to the Storming of the Bastille. The people, who barely even saw their rulers, developed total hatred towards them. They were totally alien. They had disappeared into an elite paradise, generating enormous resentment. BAD MISTAKE. A fatal error.

 

The new dialectic does not involve the physically oppressed overthrowing the physical oppressors. The oppressed back in the day had “true” consciousness. They understood their plight and who their enemy was. Now, it’s a vastly more complex problem: the psychologically oppressed having to overthrow their psychological oppressors. But the oppressed now have a FALSE CONSCIOUSNESS and don’t even recognize their oppressors as their enemies. Instead, they ADORE THEM!!!

 

And that’s why the left is so fucked today. It has to overcome a truly horrifying reality. Most people are slaves and actually want to be slaves and even need to be slaves. What do you do with a HAPPY SLAVE? These slave-people are reactionaries and counter-revolutionaries. They are the lumpenproletariat. Back in time, it was easy to persuade people who wanted to be freed from their chains. What do you do with people who love their chains? 

 

Hegel thought of a fight to the death between minds that had no thought of being slaves … the master forced the slave into being a slave, against his will.

 

Hegel did not imagine a world where most minds actually WANT to be slaves. But they don’t want any old master. They must CHOOSE their master, and once they have chosen, they don’t want to give up their master. Their master profits from the ultimate Halo Effect. They put a halo on him regarding everything and likewise put horns on everyone opposing THEIR master (just as Muslims put horns on everyone opposed to Allah).

 

Hyperianism is a perfect example of the phenomenon. Corey Rebhahn’s absurd slaves love him so much that they cannot imagine any circumstances in which they would abandon their God. They are identical to Abrahamists! There is no argument you can deploy to persuade these people of anything. Why? Because they have a false consciousness and an incredibly disturbed psychology. These people have PATHOLOGICAL minds, and, sadly, that’s true of most of humanity. And things are getting worse.

 

The real issue is how do you make humanity sane, how do you make it rational and logical? You cannot do it via persuasion because these slave-people have already been persuaded by whatever crap they have already bought into – the crap they personally CHOSE.

 

More and more, it looks like humanity can only move forward via FORCE. Those with a false consciousness must be forced to be free (as Rousseau put it), to become conscious. They cannot get there on their own. Look at Hyperians. These people have no awareness at all of who and what they are. They are perfect Dunning-Kruger types, convinced by their own stupidity of how smart they are, and literally incapable of seeing themselves as others see them – pathetic losers and cretins.

 

The Woke West is about to collapse since Wokeness is a fantasy system that cannot engage with reality, hence is doomed. The Chinese will be in total charge in a few decades. They still have values and strength. They have not succumbed to the Woke disease. They have not degenerated. 

 

Force will sort out everything. People’s unforced choices are, as we see, all defined by a false consciousness and by psychological pathology. 

 

Hyperianism is a microcosm of the problem the left faces. You can do nothing with Hyperianism. Hyperians are class traitors, enemies of the people, reactionaries, decadents, counter-revolutionaries and are in love with an apex capitalist predator and parasite who literally makes a living from conning and defrauding these weak-minded, moronic clowns. The liberal, Woke world is full of bourgeois groups like these. There is nothing you can do with these people. They are useless. They are offensive. They are the grotesque face of human degeneration and failure. They all live in a master-slave fantasy world, where the slaves love the master and the master gets off on being worshiped by them (even though he fundamentally despises them, just as, indeed, he despises himself).

 

Masters used to define themselves. They cared nothing for what other thought. Now they are defined by others, by the adoration they receive from others. They are a perverse twist on the master. The old masters would just kill the new masters in a trice. They would not see them as any different from slaves, and of course that’s right. When you are defined by slaves, you are a slave. Corey Rebhahn doesn’t do what Corey Rebhahn wants to do wants. He openly says he would love to do x, y, and z but cannot because he “wouldn’t get enough views”. In others words, he does not set his own agenda. Others set it for him, and that of course means is not a master, he is a slave. He’s the one-eyed slave in the kingdom of blind slaves. He’s master by default, not because he has anything of the authentic master about them. He’s a false master ruling over slaves with a false consciousness. That’s the modern Woke world. Rebhahn cannot control his fate – he lets his slaves shape him – hence is no kind of master in any proper sense. He’s playacting. He cannot tell Dyslexic Fairy or anyone else to fuck off. He has to take whatever he gets regarding narcissistic supply. No ADDICT is ever in charge. No addict has any will. No addict is ever a master. A real master would get rid of people like Kassidy and Dyslexic Fairy – they are fucking useless in every possible way – but Rebhahn cannot. He exerts NO control.

 

So, what Hegel missed, and it was understandable, was the idea of the FALSE MASTER. And that’s what a malignant narc is. A malignant narc has a False Self and everything about them is false. Their supposed mastery is false too, as it must be for anyone who is externally regulated. A real master MUST be internally regulated. False masters cannot be, but the only masters these days are influencers and celebrities, all of whom are malignant narcs.

 

No one could ever regard Corey Rebhahn as a strong, willed, dominant master. This is a joke man who surrounds himself with simps and gimps and spends all his time whimpering to people who are even stupider than he is. What kind of non-life is that?
