Machiavelli wrote about how princes could take and keep power. Back in his time, monarchs and princes (their children) ran Europe.

Today, we live in an Attention Economy and power is wielded by those who can command the most attention. They are the new monarchs and princes. So, the Machiavellian question now is HOW DO YOU GET AND KEEP … ATTENTION. Every influencer is preoccupied with this. The severe personality disorder of malignant narcissism entirely revolves around it. The narc NEEDS to find people to worship him and tell him he’s amazing and wonderful. And he needs to get them to PAY HIM to WORSHIP him. Isn’t it amazing that there are people out there who pay to adore a person! Well, let’s face it, celebrity culture is entirely based on this. And the most extreme manifestation of the phenomenon is THE CULT.

Antonio Gramsci said,

“The great politicians, it is said, begin by cursing Machiavelli, declaring themselves anti-Machiavellians, just in order to apply his standards sanctimoniously.”

It has always been thus.

Maurice Merleau-Ponty said,

“Machiavelli is the complete contrary of a Machiavellian, since he describes the tricks of power and ‘gives the whole show away.’ The seducer and the politician, who live in the dialectic and have a feeling and instinct for it, try their best to keep it hidden.”

Machiavelli was anti-Machiavellian … by showing exactly what was going on!

François de La Rochefoucauld said,

“The art of using moderate abilities to advantage wins praise, and often acquires more reputation than actual brilliancy.”

Narcs are mediocrities trying to work out how to be praised and be called “brilliant”. They devote their whole life to this.

Hannah Arendt said,

“Power and violence are opposites; where the one rules absolutely, the other is absent. Violence appears where power is in jeopardy, but left to its own course it ends in power’s disappearance… Violence can destroy power; it is utterly incapable of creating it.”

Interesting!

Robert Greene said,

“Crush your enemy totally… a feared enemy must be crushed completely. If one ember is left alight, no matter how dimly it smolders, a fire will eventually break out. More is lost through stopping halfway than through total annihilation: The enemy will recover, and will seek revenge. Crush him, not only in body but in spirit.”

That’s highly in line with the Machiavellian agenda.

Dick Morris said,

“In politics, the most lethal wounds are inflicted from the rear.”

Indeed! The stab in the back. The traitor.

Machiavelli said,

“There is no other way to guard yourself against flattery than by making men understand that telling you the truth will not offend you.”

Look at a sad fuck such as Corey Rebhahn (MorgueOfficial). His whole life is devoted to surrounding himself with people who will never offend him and only worship him. They are all REQUIRED to flatter him endlessly.

Machiavelli said,

“The first method for estimating the intelligence of a ruler is to look at the men he has around him.”

Look at whom Rebhahn surrounds himself with – not a hint of an intelligent person. 100% of intelligent people have abandoned Rebhahn, leaving only the detritus.

It’s vital to get that opportunity!

I absolutely understand. Good points. I appreacite you bringing them up. Please bear with me as the filming process is quite stressful and you sometimes have to make snap decisions in the moment, to try and connect the story together on the spot, dependent on what happens. I completely understand all the points you made with regard to the differences between materialism, idealism, dualism, panpsychism etc.

I appreciate your insights, this is a bit of a learning curve for me as I adjust to attempting to get across precise ideas in the chaotic environment of film. I had to put this all together in under 3 weeks, and with a lot of money involved and trying to make sure that everyone is happy and accommodated, it’s been a bit stressful to say the least! So bear with me, it’s been a bit of a tightrope act haha. These rough cuts exist to we can make these kinds of changes after the fact.

I spoke with Jon already and we can have it at ” Our final speaker tonight is Peter S-H, philosopher of mind, and he will be speaking about mind, matter and psychedelics.” and that’s it.

Good point. We are definitely going to have more events, so perhaps we can frame it so that it is “An Evening of Shadow and Light” that is sponsored by Hyperianism, or something like that. We’ll go with that edit then. Another option is possibly running a disclaimer before the video that says “The views and opinions of the speakers do not necessarily reflect the views of Hyperianism” or some such.

Very unfortunate about the NK situation, but he’s becoming incredibly difficult to deal with. Among so many other things, I discovered he was spreading rumors about me, saying that he suspected I was on meth and bulimic, which is insane. I’ve never done meth in my life and anyone that knows me knows that I am most certainly not bulimic. If anything, I tend to overeat.

I’m really excited to hear that you are planning to write more on OM.

We also found an amazing venue in Los Angeles to begin regular Hyperian meet-ups and initiations. I’m very excited about this. We have quite a few Hyperians in Los Angeles, and creating immersive real world meet-ups is going to increase that dramatically.

It’s really unfortunate. His behavior is incredibly divisive, and consciously so. I wanted nothing more to work with him and have him be a powerful Hyperian figure for the logos crowd. I suspect NK will continue to be an issue even after contact is cut.
