BLOWING THE WHISTLE ON THE DANGEROUS CULT OF HYPERIANISM
• FROM THE CITIZEN JOURNALISTS OF THE AC •
Corey Rebhahn (Morgue Official) is not a real person. He is a malignant narcissist, which means that he has a FALSE SELF, not a real self.
Why does a person create a False Self? It’s because their True Self cannot cope. They have been so traumatized by their upbringing that they undergo dissociation. They consign the hurt part of them to the unconscious where they don’t need to confront it, and they construct a new “character” that isn’t hurt and will never be hurt if they can help it (they see it as all-powerful, as godlike). But how can this new character protect itself from being hurt too? Well, given that the person’s real self has been banished, these people are no longer in the reality game. They have decided that fantasy is a better option. These people will often say they are “artists” and will claim to be immensely imaginative and creative and will rail against the “normal world”. What this all means is that they cannot engage with reality (normality) and always seek to inhabit a fantasy world, which is much more to their taste, and where they prefer to live (rather than in reality). These people are utterly drawn to the weird and fantastical. And they dream of worlds perfectly tailored for them. (CFDs, shall we say? … tee hee! … or “New Terra”.)
So, we have the “why” that lies behind the construction of the False Self. What about the “how”? How do you move from reality to fantasy? What does you psyche actually do?
Check out this depiction of the Freudian psyche and keep it available for reference:
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Structural-Iceberg.svg
Professor Sam Vaknin gives an account of what happens in the psyche:
“The classical Ego, proposed by Freud, is partly conscious and partly preconscious and unconscious. The narcissist’s Ego is completely submerged. The preconscious and conscious parts are detached from it by early traumas and form the False Ego.”
This is actually a very odd statement. The Ego is split into three (unconscious, preconscious and conscious – check out the diagram to see what is meant) and then we are told that the Ego is “completely submerged”. But we are also told that two thirds of the Ego, arguably the most important parts – the preconscious and conscious parts – are detached and form the False Ego. But that implies that only the “unconscious Ego” – which you’re not conscious of anyway (!) is lost to reality. How would that change anything? This doesn’t seem to hang together. The Ego ISN’T completely submerged at all; the only part that is absent is the part that was already submerged! That can’t be right.
Then Vaknin says,
“The Superego in healthy people constantly compares the Ego to the Ego Ideal. The narcissist has a different psychodynamic. The narcissist’s False Self serves as a buffer and as a shock absorber between the True Ego and the narcissist’s sadistic, punishing, immature Superego. The narcissist aspires to become pure Ideal Ego.”
Freud of course talks about a tripartite psyche comprising Id, Ego and Superego. You can’t do much about the Id because it’s instinctual. So, the False Self really seems to be about the relationship between the Ego and the Superego, both of which are constructs rather than simple givens (like the Id).
The Superego is often described in terms of the internalized voice of the person’s parents, telling them what is allowed and what isn’t. If a person has a disastrous relationship with their parents, and has no access to other adults to serve as a substitute (grandparents, aunts and uncles, teachers, adult family friends, and so on) then it is the Superego – which Vaknin described as “sadistic and punishing” – which must be the focus of the False Self Creation process. What seems to happen is that the Ego – since it is so alienated from the Superego, and so persecuted by it, simply gets rid of it, by completely pushing it into the unconscious (see the diagram and imagine submerging the Superego). This means that it has got rid of the expectations of society, of the Other, of authority figures, of the morality principle, and, above all, of EMPATHY (emotional rapport with others).
The Id is all about putting ourselves first and is concerned with the pleasure principle (which also entails avoiding pain). It’s all about the individual and their feelings and desires.
The Superego is our link to the Other. It concerns the morality principle. It’s about taking others into consideration, having respect for them, taking their feelings into account … and that of course is what empathy is all about.
Who are the three types of people known to have staggeringly little empathy? They are psychopaths, malignant narcissists, and autistics. These people therefore have no relationship to the Superego. They simply don’t factor in others. They don’t care about others. It’s all about them.
What happens in the case of narcissists is that they get rid of the Superego as any constraint on them (symbolically, they get rid of their parents and all authority figures!) and they replace it with something else, something to do with them and not to do with others. Vaknin mentioned what it was: THE EGO IDEAL.
Wikipedia says,
“In Freudian psychoanalysis, the ego ideal is the inner image of oneself as one wants to become. Alternatively, ‘the Freudian notion of a perfect or ideal self housed in the superego,’ consisting of ‘the individual’s conscious and unconscious images of what he would like to be, patterned after certain people whom … he regards as ideal.’ … In the French strand of Freudian psychology, the ego ideal has been defined as ‘an image of the perfect self towards which the ego should aspire.'”
So, the Ego Ideal is said to be housed in the Superego, and, as Vaknin says,
“The Superego in healthy people constantly compares the Ego to the Ego Ideal.”
This is crucial. In a normal person, your Ego Ideal is in a sense what your Ego would love to be in order to win the respect and love of your parents. A child LOVES their parents being proud of them, hence is motivated to do things that will make its parents proud. But what if you have a disastrous relationship with your parents and you see them as very cruel towards you? Then your Ego ideal will no longer be about your parents and their expectations. What will it be about instead? Well, there’s an excellent chance that it will be about whatever your parents DETEST. It’s now a vehicle of revenge, of you showing how much DIFFERENCE there is between you and your parents (and society). It’s about how much you diverge from them. It’s about how “diverse” you are. It’s no surprise psychologically that Corey Rebhahn is always talking about difference, divergence and diversity. That’s what he’s all about.
Rebhahn’s Ego Ideal was – as he basically let slip in one of his videos from long ago – MARILYN MANSON. That was the model for Edgelord Morgue (and later Heath Ledger’s Joker was added in).
Rebhahn came from a broken home and lived with his mother, a Christian Fundamentalist, in remote Montana, where he was home schooled and thus did not become a normal boy in normal society. His mother did not “socialize him”. He was a sullen, introverted, unsocial and anti-social person who rebelled against his mother by embracing a person she was sure to detest – the anti-Christian, freak and Goth weirdo Marilyn Manson (who may well be a serious criminal! … but hey, great music!). Rebhahn’s relationship with his mother broke down so much that Rebhahn had to go to a foster home. He has never seen his mother since – and his whole psyche is dominated by this fact, his total estrangement from his mother. She represents everything he detests. She stands for society and authority and conformity.
So, a normal person has an Ego Ideal connected in some way to their parents’ values and expectations. A malignant narcissist, however, ditches the Superego (parents, authority, the Other, and Empathy) and the Ego Ideal that goes with it. They abolish the “parental” Superego and replace the parental Ego Ideal with their own take on the Ego Ideal. And that’s pure fantasy because it has nothing to do with parents, authority, the Other, empathy, society and the world. In fact, it’s likely to be powered by the ID!
Therefore, instead of having a Superego-mediated Ego-ideal, reflecting the external world and reality (and empathy), the malignant narcissist instead has an Id-mediated Ego ideal, reflecting his own instinctual cravings for POWER, for worship, for adoration, for unconditional love. His Ego ideal in other words concerns pure FANTASY. It has nothing to with reality at all.
A person like this, and we can take Rebhahn as a signature example, hates society, authority, conformity, and parents. What they want is TOTAL POWER over others and the right to do anything they want – i.e., classic Id goals. The Id cares ONLY FOR ITSELF. It has zero empathy. It’s all about the individual and hates the collective (which is what the Superego concerns itself with).
So, an Id Ego ideal is the opposite of a Superego Ego ideal, just as the Id is the opposite of the Superego. But the Id Ego Ideal of a malignant narcissists has a major problem: it actually requires others to worship it. Yet the narcissist hates others (these malignant narcissists have got rid of their Superego which is all about the Other, community, and Empathy). The malignant narc craves power over others, but how can he get this power?
He has to impress them somehow. But how? Vaknin talks about somatic narcs and cerebral narcs. A somatic narc wants you to worship their appearance, so they spend an inordinate amount of time on their image. You know the gym freaks, always honing their bodies and often cheating by taking steroids. And you know the people obsessed by their hair and their makeup and their weight and what they’re wearing, and their designer clothes and shoes, and top-of-the range sneakers endorsed by billionaires. You know the types. The Kardashians are at the top of that pile – the most narcissistic family on earth! Hence role models for narcs and influencers everywhere!
Then you have cerebral narcs and these people want to impress you with their apparent learning. Those people that go on quiz shows and know loads of individual facts are cerebral narcs. But they’re not very bright. They can’t put any of these myriad facts into a coherent theory. Or some of these people make up fantastical theories, with no basis in reality, but which sound impressive, and they use loads of word salad to beef them up. Plenty of influencers and gurus are like this. Then you get people who steal the ideas of others and pass them off as their own … the plagiarist gang (Rebhahn type people). And some pretty intelligent people can also be cerebral narcs. They’re often called public intellectuals and they’re the sort of people that present populist science shows. They’re not nearly as smart as they think they are.
Many true intellectuals are practically recluses. They live in their world of ideas and don’t interact with people at all. They hate social media: the world of hysterical stupid people. Socrates was a bit of a public intellectual (a narc), while Plato was a much more serious intellectual.
A really grotesque narc is both a somatic narc (they have massive concern for their image) and a cerebral narc (they crave people telling them how smart they are).
Corey Rebhahn (Morgue Official) is a double-narc, hence one of the worst narcs in the world.
Many influencers are somatic narcs giving makeup tips, hair tips, clothes tips, lifestyle tips, and so on.
The worst influencers are the somatic and cerebral narcs giving a “message” to the world – you know, exactly as we see with Hyperianism. These become seriously dangerous cults, as you see happening with Hyperianism.
How do malignant narcs differ from psychopaths and autistics?
The autistics have brain-wiring problems, leading to extreme communication and language difficulties, and it’s exactly because they can’t relate to others via communication that they live so much inside themselves (they are “auto” people). So, autistics cannot develop a Superego because they find it so hard to connect to the Other. Without a functional Superego, they are primarily Id people. Some of the high-functioning autistics can adopt masking behaviors to try to disguise the fact that they can’t empathize with others. In the history of online Illuminism, there have been many high-functioning autistics … who have proved to be amongst the very worst trolls! You cannot reason with them. They have zero empathy and zero interest in being considerate to others. They are PURE ID.
So, that’s why autistics have no empathy … they have a serious biological (probably genetic) problem affecting their physical brain development, especially regarding their language centers.
Psychopaths may have suffered serious brain injuries, or they too may have genetic problems (they seem to have very similar brain scans), leading to an inability to emotionally relate to others. They too cannot develop a Superego. And they do not experience guilt at all. They are pure Id.
The key fact about psychopaths is that they are INTERNALLY REGULATED, i.e., they do not need others to tell them they’re great, as narcs do. The psychopath is like a lone wolf. A total predator. They set their targets and go for them, and don’t let anything get in their way. But at no point are they defined by how others feel about them. They couldn’t care less what others feel or think. They see others purely as objects to be preyed upon (all the way up to torturing and killing them for fun).
The malignant narcs also see others as objects to be preyed upon, but, unlike psychopaths, their object is not to do whatever they like to others. They have a very different objective: they want narcissistic supply from others … they want ADORATION. So they have to operate in a very different way from psychopaths. A psychopath wants to “devour” his victim in a sense. He is Mr Hyde, doing whatever he pleases to others.
Funnily enough, although narcissism is named after the mythical Narcissus, Narcissus is actually a terrible example of a malignant narcissist. He actually IGNORED his narcissistic supply (the nymph Echo, who worshiped him). He was a self-contained narcissist. Or rather, he himself was the narcissistic supply. Narcissus did not worship himself; he worshiped his REFLECTION, which he thought was another person. So Narcissus himself wasn’t a narc (!). He was actually providing narcissistic supply. He didn’t realize he was providing it to himself via his reflection in the water.
Actually, it’s hard to think of a good fictional example of a malignant narcissist – because it’s incredibly hard to write about such a person. They are people who despise others and yet spend their lives flattering others, lying to others, manipulating and exploiting others – in order to get others to adore them. Just look at Corey Rebhahn. What he does is truly sickening.
Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde was about a respectable doctor releasing his inner psychopath (Mr Hyde). “The Picture of Dorian Gray” is about a man who worships his own beauty (he’s a somatic narc), but the story doesn’t delve into the obsession that a malignant narc has with being worshiped by others. It’s about self-worship and hedonism.
Wikipedia says,
“The story revolves around a portrait of Dorian Gray painted by Basil Hallward, a friend of Dorian’s and an artist infatuated with Dorian’s beauty. Through Basil, Dorian meets Lord Henry Wotton and is soon enthralled by the aristocrat’s hedonistic worldview: that beauty and sensual fulfillment are the only things worth pursuing in life. Newly understanding that his beauty will fade, Dorian expresses the desire to sell his soul, to ensure that the picture, rather than he, will age and fade. The wish is granted, and Dorian pursues a libertine life of varied amoral experiences while staying young and beautiful; all the while, his portrait ages and visually records every one of Dorian’s sins. Oscar Wilde’s only novel, it was subject to much controversy and criticism in its time but has come to be recognized as a classic of gothic literature.”
This was a study of aesthetics and morality. Gray’s portrait, forever locked away, reflects the true horror of this person – his real monstrous self. Corey Rebhahn, if you ever really “saw” him, would be a beast, a demon, a true monster. That’s why he never lets anyone get close to him. In the past, whenever anyone got close, they encountered the grotesque truth and got out. Rebhahn can’t have any relationships anymore. His act, his performance, precludes it. Rebhahn can have no intimacy with anyone. He’s one of the saddest, most tormented people in the world, who can only live through the worship he has manipulated people such as Kassidy and Dyslexic Fairy (with severe learning disabilities and debilitating ritualistic compulsive and obsessive behavior) into giving him. No normal person is left in Hyperianism. It really is a freakshow now, as was always inevitable given that Rebhahn performed in one.
The best fictional representation of malignant narcissism is arguably the wizard in the Wizard of Oz … he’s all smoke and mirrors and levers and gadgets and pretense and fakery, phoniness and fraud. He has none of the powers he pretends to have, as you see when you pull back the curtain. But the wizard is still portrayed as a relatively benevolent grandfather figure. To capture the essence of malignant narcissism, the Wizard of Oz would have to be portrayed as a kind of Jesus Christ figure or Buddha or Woke messiah, but this time, when you pull back the curtain, you discover Ted Bundy, or the Devil!
Imagine Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde where the central character was actually Mr Hyde and he hid his monstrous true self behind the mask of some universally admired and loved charity worker or Woke spokesperson or spiritual guru preaching world peace and harmony. No one would guess the truth.
The malignant narc is all about lying to others – telling them what they want to hear or promising to give them what they want and desire – so that they adore the narc, when in fact the image they are projecting is the opposite of what they really are.
Corey Rebhahn is a perfect example. Rebhahn originally presented himself as a cross between Marilyn Manson and the Joker – the host personality we call Edgelord Morgue, a psychopathic nihilist. (By the way, the reason Rebhahn became an extreme self-harm performer was that he was so hurt in childhood as the goofy, weird little gay boy everyone bullied, including his own parents, that he decided to inflict extreme harm on himself – so that he wouldn’t be afraid of what others would do to him. Of course, anyone can do extreme psychological damage to this person. His psyche is TOTALLY WRECKED. That’s why he’s “non-binary”, and all that – he is clueless about who and what he really is … so he just invented an identity to make him feel “special” and “unique”.)
When that Edgelord persona didn’t work, Rebhahn literally became the opposite: the Woke Jesus Morgue we see today. Yet he still clearly loves his first personality because his social media remains full of references to it. He removed his Terrors of Men horror site as soon as we exposed it – he knew that was terminal (!) – but he has left an incredibly large amount of incriminating Edgelord Morgue content untouched. The thing is that none of his cult slaves seems remotely bothered that Edgelord Morgue is the opposite of Woke Jesus Morgue. No cognitive dissonance is generated at all. Funny, that. Don’t you find it astounding that not a single Hyperian EVER refers to Edgelord Morgue? Not a single person comments on the fact that what he says is now the OPPOSITE of what he said back in, say, 2014.
So, a psychopath has an ego ideal that has no need of external validation. The psychopath is internally regulated. The malignant narc, by contrast, has an Ego ideal that is entirely based on external regulation (validation). The malignant narc has no internal regulation.
The difference between them is that the psychopath can operate without any need for praise from others, while the malignant narc is defined by his need for adoration from others. It’s the only way he can feel good about himself.
Corey Rebhahn is not only both a somatic and cerebral narcissist, he’s also both a malignant narcissist and psychopath. The malignant narcissist – faking being a Woke Jesus – is the one who does the deadstreams and is entirely defined by his audience’s slavish, adoring responses to him. The psychopathic Rebhahn is the one who contacted the FBI to get two former very close colleagues swatted and to try to get the AC/PI shut down – the source of all his substantive knowledge! We know that Rebhahn said nothing to Immensely Fat Jan and Necrophil about going to the FBI. And there’s a good chance that he didn’t even tell his closest confidante, his replacement mother – Disgusting Breeder Bitchell. He just went ahead with his false and malicious complaint, such was his psychopathic lust for revenge against David Sinclair for publishing “Without the Mob, There Is No Circus”. Rebhahn only mentioned his FBI complaint to the others when we ourselves had written about its aftermath on the AC (and Fatso Jan and Necropants Phil actually thought we had just made it up!); otherwise he would never have said anything about it to his mods. He absolutely never mentioned it to his cult slaves, and, as we all know, none of his cult slaves actually believes he did it – even though we showed then the screenshots from the private mod chat all about it. But this is the way these malignant narcs operate … never showing anyone what is REALLY going on. It’s all manipulation and exploitation and denial and camouflage and blatant lying.
Malignant narcissism and psychopaths are a disease of the Superego, meaning that these people never develop empathy and have zero consideration for others. They are always extreme individualists preaching absolute self-expression and “diversity”. They have zero intention of doing what is best for society. They follow the particular will (the Id) and not the general will (the Superego). All of the problems of society could be solved if the Superego – a social construct – were designed properly. Good parenting and good teaching at school are essential. Malignant narcs and psychopaths always have dysfunctional backgrounds and usually an astonishingly traumatic relationship with their parents, just as Corey Rebhahn had with his.
The malignant narcs and psychopaths both ditch the Superego (the outside world) and replace it with the Id-mediated Ego ideal. The psychopath imagines himself as a great person of power. He is internally regulated. The malignant narc also believes himself to be awesomely powerful, but is externally regulated. The upshot is that the psychopath isn’t bothered by fame and popularity and just goes around fucking over anyone he wants to. The malignant narc IS obsessed with fame and popularity and they have to fuck over others in that context, and they do so through lying, cheating, manipulating and exploiting, all the while trying to maintain a mask of perfection. Their downfall comes when that mask cracks or slips, but it can take a hell of a lot of time and effort before that great day comes. We have DESTROYED Rebhahn’s reputation (exposed the true monster he is) a hundred times over, and still his cult slaves don’t give a fuck and still worship him unconditionally.
For these people, appearances are everything and even when the truth is revealed to them, they simply don’t believe it, or don’t care. Look at Donald Trump. Any normal politician would have been destroyed by the revelations about him. Instead, Trump’s popularity increased! It’s a bit like that with Rebhahn, except from the Woke perspective. The more you show what a monster Rebhahn is, the more his Woke cult slaves rally around him and send him more love and money. Well, that’s a human nature for ya! It’s exactly the same phenomenon as Trumpism. Trumpanzees have invested their entire identity in the malignant narcissist Donald Trump, and the cult slaves of Hyperianism have invested their entire identity in the malignant narcissist Corey Rebhahn. All the same psychological forces are in play, just with an opposite polarity (Woke versus conservative).
An interesting topic is why all of the people who had hideous childhoods don’t become psychopaths or malignant narcissists. These people seem to do something very interesting. They don’t get rid of their Superego and become Id creatures, as the psychopaths and malignant narcissists do. Instead, they switch their Superego away from their terrible parents to a kind of idealized society where no one is ever treated badly. They create an Ego ideal where they are tremendously empathic individuals working for a world where no one has to go through what they did. To put it another way, they create an other-directed ALTRUISTIC Ego Ideal (which wants to be of service to others), whereas the psychopaths and malignant narcissists create a self-directed selfish Ego ideal (out for whatever it can get). So, the horrific thing is that the monstrous malignant narcissists with a selfish Ego ideal often prey on decent people with an altruistic Ego-Ideal, i.e. idealistic people who want to help and build a better world are often the easiest prey for the sickos who want to exploit their good intentions, and because the decent people think very highly of others and respect others, and want to help, it’s much harder for them to see that some people are absolutely horrific predators who just want to manipulate and exploit them, while wearing the mask of altruism and only pretending to have a strong desire to help others.
Look at Corey Rebhahn – what an actor! This is such a grotesque person, always concealing his true self, and fooling hundreds of people. Many idealistic, altruistic people joined Hyperianism – and all succumbed to Rebhahn’s con. Most are out now, but a few remain trapped, utterly blind to the disgusting reality of Corey Rebhahn. Most Hyperians are completely delusional, of course, but probably one or two mean well and simply haven’t faced up to the fact that are victims of a very experienced grifter, a man who has spent his adult life grifting and performing.
There is such a thing as a collective Ego ideal – where a whole group adopt the same Ego ideal, which makes them feel powerful and special. That’s what Hyperianism is all about … the “hyperfam”!!! All the weaklings imagine themselves powerful.
