This is a complex topic approached with a bludgeon by either camp. Not sure that comparing it to alchemy helps anything. I’m transgender and I support transsexuals politically (aside from underage, who I don’t believe are ready to make that decision.) but think more safeguards need to be put in place for these individuals. This position makes the majority of people hate me. For every other topic they find my nuanced thinking somewhat forgivable. Also increasingly concerned that this topic is divisive enough to be used by governments to divide people.
