But because they themselves are actually talentless then what are they supposed to base their fantasy on?

Actually, these people do have one “talent”, if you can call it that … the capacity to lie relentlessly all the time, to everyone, especially themselves. Their whole life is about lying and drawing people into their web of lies. They simply steal the work of others and pass it off as their own and hope that no one notices or cares. And these people – BECAUSE they are consummate liars – can often attract hundreds of devoted worshipers. Why? Because they tell these people the lies these suckers crave to hear.

Look at the people who follow Rebhahn. 100% of them are those who are laughed at in real life and regarded as total freaks, failures and losers. These people crave feeling special. No honest person will ever tell them they’re special, but an absolute liar will in order to manipulate and exploit them, and part them from all their money. And that’s exactly what a malignant narcissist is … a person prepared to tell ANY LIE, no matter how egregious and ridiculous, to secure narcissistic supply (the drug that keeps the narc’s fantasies on the road) and MONEY.

It’s an astonishing thing to discover that there are humans with no relationship at all to the truth. But, of course, that’s INEVITABLE when a person has a False Self. A False Self, by definition, cannot know and interact with the truth. You need to be in the top 1,000 to be a player. Rebhahn’s American ranking is close to 30,000, meaning that no one gives a shit about him. He’s a blip on the horizon. If Rebhahn WERE a player, he would be TOAST by now. It’s the fact that he’s a tiny niche player that protects him.
